Our extra-curricular highlights

Debating and public speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication skills and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. We offer the chance to compete in local and state events such as the Premiers Debating Challenge and the Multi-Cultural Speaking competition.

Creative and performing arts

Our drama, dance, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. We have a range of extra-curricular teams your child can join to extend their passions and talents in these areas.

Trips and excursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.

Cultural Activities

Our school proudly participates in a variety of cultural activities throughout the year that celebrate and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage. NAIDOC, Reconciliation Week and Sorry Day commemorations are built into our learning sequences to foster respect, understanding and connection to the rich cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our mirida programs offer a range of cultural offerings for our students across the entire school year.

Student Voice and Leadership

Our Student Representative Council includes student voices from Year 3 to 6, who contribute to important discussions and decisions which help to shape our school environment, and make it more inclusive and engaging.

Interschool Sporting Competitions

We offer a range of Primary School Sporting teams which represent Milton at a local, regional and State level. A fantastic way for upper Primary students with talents in the physical domain to shine.
