Canteen

Our canteen is operated by our Canteen Supervisor - Di, our Canteen Assistant - Stephanie, together with volunteers that provide a wonderful service for our school.

The canteen adheres to the "NSW Health School Canteen Strategy".  Lunches and snacks are available Monday to Friday at lunchtime and recess.

We have a standard menu from Monday to Thursday and a special menu on Friday's.

Each term we also run a special meal deal that can be purchased for lunch.

Our canteen opens at 8:55am and closes at 2:10pm.

Order from our canteen

Over the Counter Orders

You can place an over-the-counter order for lunches. You are able to write your order on a paper bag either at home or at the canteen.  Please ensure that you include your child's name, your child's class and the items requested.

Please note that some items such as slushies are unable to be added to lunch orders and students should attend the canteen counter to order these items.

Please note that the canteen is cash only, there are no EFTPOS facilities available.  We also suggest small notes and coins as there is limited cash for change.

Order online

To order food, please visit MySchoolConnect (they have a website and a phone app) and register for an account. You are then able to add funds to your account.

• Make sure you receive the order confirmation

Breakfast program

Did you know?

Milton Public School has a fantastic breakfast program that runs every morning from our canteen. Students are able to access toast, cereal, sandwiches and fruit in the morning from the 8:55am bell.  Students who access our wellbeing room also have breakfast provided for them.

Term Meal Deal

Want to volunteer?

Parents, carers and community members are welcome to volunteer in the canteen.

Before commencing, there are some tasks that must be completed:

1. Visit or call the school office and let us know that you would like to volunteer.  Parents, carers and community members must be screened prior to commencing.  We will request your full legal name and email address to enter into our screening system.  You will receive an email to fill in further details.  Once you have done this and submitted the information, please visit the school office with your photo ID.  Office staff will sight this and complete the process.
2. Complete a free food safety course and provide the certificate to the school office.  The course can be accessed here > www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/training/food-handler-basics-trainingFood Handler Basics training - NSW Food Authority  It covers the basic knowledge requirements for food handlers in Standard 3.2.2A of the Food Standards Code.

Once completed, you will be able to volunteer in the canteen. When you do come in, please sign in at the office before heading down to the canteen.
